Much Awaited Ashok Leyland Guru and Partner Trucks Launched

Ashok Leyland, India’s home grown truck and bus manufacturer launched two new commercial vehicles in the country today. These two vehicles, Guru, unveiled at Auto Expo 2016, and Partner, India’s first air conditioned goods carrier in the category, will compete in the lCV and LCV segments in India.
The company has priced Guru at an introductory price starting from INR 14.35 lakh, whereas the Partner has been launched at an introductory price of INR 10.29 lakh for the four tyre variant.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Vinod K. Dasari, CEO and MD, Ashok Leyland Ltd., said, “Ashok Leyland has upped the ante over the last few years and that reflects in our results. Guru will be available in both BS-III and BS-IV variants and can cater to a wide range of applications in the 12T and 13T category, with its different load body options, equipped with the latest H Series engine with Common Rail fuel injection system and other reliable aggregates.

The Partner is powered by the advanced ZD30 Common Rail diesel engine, which ensures superior fuel-efficiency and better turnaround time. It is future ready and compliant with the upcoming BS-IV emission norms. The company is offering an engine and transmission warranty of 3 years/3 lakh km whichever is earlier and a standard warranty of 1 year/unlimited km on the overall vehicle. Partner will be made available to customers through its 375 outlets across the country.
Guru and Partner will be launched in a phased manner across the country.
