Market Hot With Rumours of Hyundai Launching Trucks in India

Hyundai is one of the most loved car makers in the country. The cars manufactured by the brand, are popular because of qualities which include low maintenance, good performance and up to the mark fuel economy. And there are chances that the brand may enter the cargo segment very soon which will be a boon for auto enthusiasts, especially if you are a transporter or a truck fleet owner.
Autocar Professional, in one of its articles, has said that Hyundai may soon launch its trucks in India. As per the portal, "It is learnt from reliable sources that Hyundai has started exploratory activities for an entry into India's commercial vehicle (CV) sector, a market that is listed as top priority among the new regions that the company would like to enter."
Hyundai sells more than 100,000 trucks and buses in more than 130 markets in the world every year. HD120, HD210, HD600 are some of the bestselling models sold by auto major.
Why India?
Considering the potential of Indian transport sector, the question is not at all a tough nut to crack. India is one of the largest and fastest growing countries in the world. Its transport sector promises unmatched growth rates. An auto brand like Hyundai, which has already been blessed with a lot of love from the Indian consumers, might not have to do much to carve a place for its range of commercial vehicles in the country.
Hyundai's Route to Enter India?
The report by Autocar Professional does not state whether Hyundai will take the organic route and start product development in India, or would take the inorganic route and enter the country via acquisitions, mergers and tie-ups. But if rumours in the market are to be believed, Hyundai trucks will soon be rolling in the country.
If Hyundai decides to enter the Indian commercial vehicle industry, its large passenger car dealer and service network, will no doubt, make the incubation journey a little easier.
