Mahindra is a reputed manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India. The brand has an extensive portfolio of commercial vehicles and they have been constantly expanding their portfolio foraying into different segments for different kinds of commercial operations in the Indian market.
Mahindra has been focusing on the last-mile mobility segment in India. It has recently expanded its portfolio in the segment offering a number of electric three wheelers both for passenger and cargo carriage purposes. The brand has a number of popular e-cargo carriers in the market, including the Mahindra Treo Zor.
Alongside the Mahindra Treo Zor, Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited (MEML), also recently launched the Zor Grand in the Indian market. The all-new cargo electric three-wheeler – Zor Grand has also become quite popular in the market owing to its superior performance and an attractive price tag starting at ₹3.50 lakh.
Since we are talking about two of the most popular e-cargo carriers from the brand, let us take a look at the key differences between Mahindra Treo Zor and the Zor Grand, both of which are premium products from the brand.
Pricing
The first area to look into is the pricing of these two electric three-wheeler cargo carriers. The Mahindra Treo Zor has a price range between ₹3.09 Lakh - 3.45 lakhs while the Mahindra Zor Grand starts at ₹3.50 - 3.85 lakhs, both being ex-showroom prices, in New Delhi.
Vehicle Weight And Load Capacity
The Mahindra Treo Zor and the Zor Grand are both quite capable vehicles when it comes to last mile cargo haulage needs in the Indian market. The Mahindra Treo Zor has a gross vehicular weight (GVW) of 995 kgs and the Zor Grand has a GVW of 998 kgs, which makes both of them electric three wheeler cargo carriers in the 1-tonne segment. The Treo Zor has a payload capacity rated at 550 kgs and the Zor Grand has a payload capacity ranging between 450-500 kgs.
Variants And Dimensions
The Mahindra Treo Zor is offered in the Indian market in three variants: Flat Bed, Delivery Van and Pickup. The Zor Grand on the other hand comes in two different variants: Delivery Van and Pickup. However, the Zor Grand is offered with two options for the Delivery Van category which are 140 Cu. ft and 170 Cu. ft. The Treo Zor comes with a customizable body and both the models come with a day cabin.
Coming to the dimensions, the Treo Zor measures 3100 mm x 1460 mm x 1762 mm while the Zor Grand is bigger at 3475 mm x 1590 mm x 2490 mm. The wheelbase difference is very minimal, with the Treo Zor having 2216 mm and the Zor Grand having 2200 mm wheelbase. The ground clearance of the latter is 180 mm and the Treo Zor has it at 123 mm.
Battery, Range And Performance
Performance of both the models are exceptional and perfect for considerable load hauling in the last mile mobility segment. The Treo Zor comes with an advanced IP67 rated electric motor and the maximum speed is rated at 50kmph. The motor makes a torque of 42Nm and the battery offers a range of around 80kms on a single charge. On the other hand, the Zor Grand comes with a more capable powertrain using the same Lithium-ion technology. The peak torque produced is 50Nm and the battery offers a range of 125-150 kms on a single charge with the same top speed rating of 50 kmph. The charging time of both the vehicles are similar, with the Treo Zor taking 3 hours and 50 minutes for a full charge and the Zor Grand takes 4 hours to a full charge.

Braking And Suspension
The Zor Grand comes with hydraulic drum brakes and mechanical lever type parking brakes and the Treo Zor also gets the same. However, the former model gets Helical Spring & Hydraulic Shock Absorber at the rear end and the latter gets Helical Spring along with Dampener and Hydraulic Shock Absorber at its rear end.
