Mahindra Transport Excellence Awards: Here’s What You Need To Know

The Mahindra & Mahindra Group has constantly been making in-roads into the Indian commercial vehicle segment. With its Trucks and Bus Division, Mahindra is currently one of the fastest growing companies in the said marketplace. In order to convey the company’s ambitions from this segment, the Mahindra Transport Excellence Awards were conceptualized, which are currently one of the most distinguished awards in the Indian road transport industry.
According to the manufacturer, the Mahindra Transport Excellence Awards are essentially a forum to recognize and reward Outperformance, Excellence, Innovation and Change Leadership in the Indian transport industry. There are three Award Themes in place:
1) Accepting No Limits: Dare To Disturb The Universe
Invited participants who have gone beyond boundaries to come up with breakthrough products and services for their customers by taking well calculated risks, and showing agility and adaptability of operations.
2) Alternative Thinking: Add Value Through Ingenuity
Invited participants that have innovated and implemented new approaches in day-to-day operations.
3) Driving Positive Change: Shape Destinies
Invited participants who have a deep understanding of their customers and are dedicatedly working towards offering quality products and services.
For the 2018 edition, Mahindra has already accepted applications from all participants. All these received entries will now be checked for completeness, adherence to terms and conditions of the competition, and qualification criteria. Post this, a screening jury that comprises of various industry experts, will shortlist the entries. The shortlisted entries will then be called to give a presentation to the Expert Jury, which will then forward its nominations to a Grand Jury that is responsible for final selection of the award winners.
It is worth noting that in the past iterations of the Mahindra Transport Excellence Awards, the Grand Jury has been appointed in coordination with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India, and has included reputed individuals and senior government officials. The entire application, screening, and selection process is monitored by EY, thus promising high levels of fairness.
This year, the Awards Function is expected to be scheduled sometime in early 2019 in the country’s national capital – New Delhi.
