The company registered higher sales across truck categories including light, heavy trucks and three-wheelers.
The popularity of Bolero pikup, Supro Profit Truck and Jeeto continue to help Mahindra to lead in the high volume of small and light truck sales in India. After last year's pandemic shutdowns and disruption in retail sales, Mahindra is now witnessing higher demand for its pickups and light trucks.
Similarly, the medium and heavy trucks, intermediate trucks and three-wheelers also saw solid growth in number in May. This indicates a greater appetite of customers who are now willing buy new trucks to further expand their fleet to cater to increasing demand in the market.
In the May 2022 sales number, Mahindra’s light truck segment categories in 2-3.5-tonne GVW, comprising popular Bolero pikup range and Supro Profit truck and Jeeto is again the top volume driver. With a total sale of 17,289 units up 231%, followed by light trucks above 2-tonne GVW of 3,228 units up 77%, 3,645 units of three-wheeler up 1240% and 632 units of heavy trucks up 236%. The massive jump in growth as compared to last year is due to a low base in May 2021.
