Mahindra Jeeto CNG Variant Launched, Priced at INR 3.5 lakh

Around 18 months after Mahindra launched the popular ‘Jeeto’ mini truck, the auto maker has rolled out the CNG variant of the model. Mahindra has come up with this variant to promote eco-friendly last mile transportation and address the changing business requirements of transporters. The CNG variant is priced at INR 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be available only for Jeeto’s top end model, X716.
The new Jeeto CNG has a 16 bhp engine that generates 38 Nm torque at 1200-2000 rpm. According to Mahindra, the vehicle will ensure superior pick-up, acceleration and gradeability, allowing the Jeeto CNG to carry heavy loads even up the steepest slopes. Business owners can also expect best in class payload, higher deck size compared to competition, superior mileage, lower maintenance, and the promise of higher earning potential.
Speaking at the launch of Jeeto CNG, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “With the launch of Jeeto CNG, Mahindra has taken yet another step towards promoting sustainable mobility solutions. With one of the widest range of small commercial vehicles, we hope to further consolidate our leadership position in the SCV segment and provide solutions for a variety of cargo transportation needs.”
Mahindra Jeeto was launched in June 2015 and is the first ever product in the segment with a modular range of eight mini-trucks catering to the needs of customers in the sub 1 tonne load segment. The diesel variant of the Jeeto is available in S, L & X series and caters to the 3 wheeler, micro-truck and mini-truck customers.
