Mahindra Jeeto Plus CNG 400: All You Need To Know

Taking a big step in addressing the growing needs of longer-range sub-1-tonne payload trucks, Mahindra introduced the Jeeto CNG that now promises 400 km of range and also a higher segment best mileage of 35 kmpl.

Mahindra, India’s top small commercial vehicle maker took another leap in its strong market by introducing the Jeeto CNG with the highest range, and more mileage at an affordable price point to target the new customers looking for a more fuel-efficient last-mile truck. Also offers a superior product for first-time truck buyers and a greater alternative to the cargo three-wheelers. 

The Jeeto is already a popular truck in its category with multiple fuel options including diesel, petrol, and CNG, however, there is a customer segment that needed a CNG truck for inter-city trips that comes with a longer range and higher mileage. This is to take longer trips without taking breaks to refill the tank, mostly finding CNG stations with an excessively waiting, thus loss of a lot of productive time. Understanding a clear gap in the market, Mahindra conducted an extensive market study to develop the right solutions.

After customer feedback, the firm went to the drawing board to develop the Jeeto with two CNG tanks on board that could give the customer the highest range to reach two cities, or market places delivering cargo by boosting productivity and improving their transport/logistics business.

The New Jeeto Plus CNG CharSau is best suited for both inter and intra-city applications with its segment-leading range, best-in-class mileage, easy maneuverability as well as class-leading payload capacity, leading to higher profits, segment-leading range of over 400 km, first in the segment, 2 CNG tanks with a total capacity of 68 litres.

The truck comes with a mileage of 35.1 km/kg, offering the lowest operating costs and in turn higher savings.

This ensures superior pick-up, acceleration and gradeability, allowing the New Jeeto Plus CNG CharSau to carry heavy loads even up the steepest of slopes. Further coupled with the lowest maintenance cost and the ability to carry varied load options effectively, the New Jeeto Plus CNG CharSau will deliver up to 30%* higher profit than the market offerings.

The new Jeeto Plus CNG 400 is to be rolled out from Mahindra’s state-of-the-art Zaheerabad plant and offered with a segment-leading warranty of 3 years/72,000km (whichever is earlier). Available in 3 attractive colours: Diamond White, Ultramarine Blue and Sunrise Red. The vehicle is supported by Mahindra’s extensive service network, which is one of the largest in the country.
