The electrification of the automobile in India has started right at the bottom, the affordable and omnipresent auto-rickshaw segment is becoming electric with high customer preference. The volatile and sustained price hike of diesel/petrol/CNG along with increasing vehicle prices has dented the earnings from the conventional auto-rickshaw.

This is a passenger carrier entry-level e-auto with a certified range of 85 kilometers on a single charge. An affordable option, E-Alfa Mini is suitable for daily people carrier needs on the feeder routes or smaller distance last-mile trips. The E-Alfa mini comes with a 48 Volts, 120Ah battery, and brushless DC motor of 1000 Wats with a torque of 3.2Nm. The transmission is a direct type with a maximum speed of 25 kmph.
Treo is Mahindra’s all-new, modern electric three-wheeler platform designed and developed for all kinds of new greener/lighter and sustainable transport needs. The Treo comes in multiple options and is a perfect alternative to the conventional auto, and you get to earn higher profit due to the much lower running cost. The Treo is packed with a modern lithium-ion, 48 Volts battery, with a capacity of 7.37 kWh, and 30 Nm of torque. You can charge the full battery in about 3-4 hours. With three passenger capacities and a top speed of 45, the Treo comes with a company-claimed 170 km of range and a real-life driving range of about 130 km.
The Yaari is a bigger version of the Treo with a 4-passenger carrying capacity, thus besides this, the Treo and Treo Yaari are almost identical in almost every element.
Besides the passenger carrier segment, Mahindra also offers cargo e-auto. The first among them is the E-Alfa mini cargo-an entry-level 780 kg GVW e-auto with a payload capacity of 310 kg. Here you get 80 km of range on a single charge with a top speed of 25km/h.
This cargo three-wheeler is based on the Treo e-auto platform, another strong cargo vehicle from Mahindra. The Treo Zor has emerged as a popular vehicle in its category as customers are finding it highly capable and earning superior profit.
Treo Zor comes with 125 km of range in a standard single charge of 3 hours 50 minutes, the top speed is 50 km/h. Available in three variants, the pickup 550 kg payload, flatbed 578 kg payload, and delivery Van 500 kg payloads. This e-auto gets a 48V, lithium-ion battery with 7.37 kWh capacity and produces 8 kW of power at 42Nm of torque.
This newly arrived e-auto from Mahindra, the Zor Grand is another option that you can certainly explore in the cargo carrier segment. The Zor Grand is available in three variants- pickup (500 kg payload), and two delivery vans (550 and 578 kg of payload, respectively). This e-auto gets a 12 kW battery that produces solid 50 Nm of torque with superior pickup and a real-life driving range of over 100 km on a single charge. Zor Grand is a highly capable cargo e-auto offering a solid alternative to the regular auto with the almost same performance, payload elements with an electric powertrain that means ease of driving, lower cost of running, and higher profit.
