Mahindra brings all-new electric cargo 3W: Treo Zor

After introducing the passenger variants, Mahindra Electric brings the cargo version of the modern electric 3W-Treo. The Treo Zor gets 550 kg of payload with a powerful battery and advanced motor available in three different variants. To enable higher earning potential and lower maintenance, Mahindra promises greater savings by overall lowest operating costs.
Taking another attempt towards its affordable EV solutions, India’s EV pioneers, Mahindra Electric, introduces full-electric cargo three-wheeler, Treo Zor, at a starting price of ₹ 2.73 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, net of FAME 2 and state subsidies for efficient last-mile cargo delivery segments. Taking on the local competitors with the advanced battery, superior built quality, and value for money products to the price-sensitive customers, the Treo Zor aims to offer a powerful alternative to the IC engine last-mile cargo vehicle. The Treo Zor is available in three variants: pickup, delivery van, and flatbed to cater to various cargo applications. Mahindra says an owner can save Rs 60,000 by operating Zor against the diesel power auto. The saving on fuel is approximately Rs 2.1 per km and 40 paisa on maintenance cost.

The Treo Zor is fitted with a new generation zero maintenance advanced lithium-ion battery with a 1.5 plus km battery life that comes with a standard warranty of 3 years and 80,000 km. The Zor is easy to drive with clutchless direct drive technology, completely noise and vibration-free. For easier loading, a height of 675 mm and a convenient 3-way cargo tray is provided. Equipped with a segment-leading longer wheelbase of 2216 mm and the largest tyres size of 30.48 cm. The Treo Zor is fitted with rear time performance tracking, monitoring operation, data, machine learning, etc.

Variants
The three variants of Treo Zor are pickup, flatbed, and delivery Van is in the L5N vehicle category with a hard panel roof. The payload of pickup is 550kg, flatbed 578 kg, and delivery van 500 kg. All three vehicles share the same dimensions, ground clearance of 123 mm, turning radius of 3.05m, and GVW of 995 kg.
Lithium-ion battery with 48V voltage, the installed battery capacity 7.37 kWh, and charging time at standard conditions is three 3h 50 min. The top speed on each variant is 50 km/h, company certified range of 125 km, and gradeability of 7-degree. The peak power of 8 kW and 42 Nm of torque with a gearbox of direct drive technology makes it easy to drive and navigate any terrain, narrow lanes, or city traffic effortlessly.
Plentiful Features
The Treo Zor offers everything that a conventionally powered auto, and Mahindra has loaded the e-auto with many features, making it a practical and easy to use vehicle across any terrain or weather conditions. You get windscreen and wiping system, spare wheel provision, driving modes-Forward, Neutral, Reverse, economy and boost mode, lockable glove box, 12 V socket, telematics unit and GPS, 15 A off-board charger, hazard indicator, reverse buzzer, etc.
Key aggregates include front suspension of helical spring + damper + hydraulic shock absorber while the rear suspension comes with a rigid axle with leaf spring. The front and rear brakes are hydraulic types. The parking brake is a mechanical type.
