Mahindra Blazo Series Launched in Jaipur

After a grand unveiling at Auto Expo 2016, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD) announced the Rajasthan launch of its Blazo series of haulage trucks, tractor trailers, and tippers at a media studded event in Jaipur today.Mahindra had also organized a pre-launch customer meet yesterday pertaining to the new heavy commercial truck series, which witnessed participation from more than 200 customers.

The vehicles were launched by Mr. R. C. Mangal, Senior VP, Sales and Marketing and Mr. Nalin Mehta, CEO, Mahindra Trucks and Bus division.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nalin Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Our truck and bus business has been growing steadily and is taking full advantage of the buoyancy in the HCV segment. We are confident that new Blazo HCV range will further enhance our position in the market by significantly improving the customer value proposition.”

In an exclusive interview with TrucksDekho, Mr. Mehta said that the Blazo series will become Mahindra’s main product in Rajasthan. “Mahindra witnessed one of the best performance in Rajasthan in March last year and closed five percent market share in the state. Mahindra’s growth in 2015 has increased by 63 percent. Also, Mahindra is positive of garnering double the market share within the next two to three years,” he said.

He further went on adding, “With rapid expansion of its after sales network with 75 3S dealerships, 90 Authorized Service Centres, 2900 Roadside Assistance service points and Retail Spares network of 1777 outlets already in place and expanding, Blazo is there to go a long way.”

Throwing light on Mahindra Blazo’s ongoing and future campaigns, Mr. Mehta said that a successful launch in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, Mahindra will now be conducting further regional launches in other states. Apart from this, the auto maker is holding customer/ pre-launch meets and road shows across India.

Equipped with the FuelSmart technology, Mahindra Blazo trucks come with superior mileage guarantee as compared to other trucks in the segment. The technology incorporates the CRDe engine with multi-drive mode usually seen in passenger cars. Drivers can shift between the modes with the help of three switches—Turbo, Heavy and Light, depending on the load and road conditions, thus improving fuel efficiency.

With more than 8000 inquiries till date, Mahindra Blazo had quickly grabbed attention of the Indian heavy commercial vehicle market after MTBD had announced that a customer could return the Blazo truck in case its fuel efficiency underperformed as compared to the customer’s existing truck. Also, Mahindra has guaranteed uptime on its breakdown service by getting the truck back on road in 48 hours, else the company will pay the customer INR 1000 per day.
