Joerg Mommertz is New Chairman and MD of Man Trucks India

Man Trucks has appointed a Chairman and Managing Director for its India operations. Joerg Mommertz, the new India head, has taken over the profile from October 1, 2016. Mommertz has been associated with the Germancommercial vehicle manufacturer since 1991. He was the MD of MAN Trucks & Bus Russia prior to this.
Joerg Mommertz has a diversified management experience of several years. He started his career in MAN in 1991, and since then, has held impressive positions in different countries across the world including Belgium, Scandinavia, Poland, and Denmark.
Optimistic about his new role, Mommertz said, “There is a strong focus by MAN Group in India and I believe that I will be able to facilitate and nurture MAN Trucks India with most dynamic market focus on economic transport solutions.” He further said that the company will continue to develop a strong and professional network that will offer customers with a wide product range, service and business solutions.
Started 10 years ago, Man Trucks India Pvt. Ltd. is a fully owned subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG, Germany. The company has its production facility at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, and has produced over 23,000 vehicles for domestic and international markets. MAN trucks’ price in India has been set competitively and the CV manufacturer has a strong dealership network across 60 locations.
