Iveco Premiers New Eurocargo International Truck of the Year 2016 at CV Show 2016

Italian manufacturer Iveco has displayed four of its New Eurocargo models at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2016 that was held at NEC, Brimingham, England between April 26 to April 28. The company currently holds an International Truck of the Year award for the model, which it proudly underlined at the event.

“We are in the enviable position as both reigning International Truck of the Year champion, and also the only major truck manufacturer to be here at the CV Show,” said Stuart Webster, managing director of Iveco.

Going with the slogan, 'the truck the city likes', the New Eurocargo demonstrates a new focus on fuel economy, cleaner drive potential as well as a lower financial toll for the owner. R

The model showcased at the event features metallic blue paint that evokes a more stunning look. It is supported by a 7.5 tonne 4×2 rigid framework, while an automated ZF EuroTronic transmission completes its inner dynamics. The company showcased two variants of its award winning medium truck range. The first is a 15-tonne vehicle (150E25) built on a road-sweeper body format and the first truck to be built on the new Iveco chassis, while the second is a 18 tonne truck (180E25/P) with a DriveAway curtain-side body.

Iveco has modeled the vehicle with a new design template for the ignition coils, blow-by valve, pistons and rings. All put together, the company has managed to capture strong benefits in terms of fuel economy as well as sustainability of the vehicle. Visitors at Iveco’s stands at the show were enthralled by the environmentally friendly, quiet, fuel efficient, manoeuvrable and comfortable. New Eurocargo and were able to get an understanding how the truck is perfect for city drive and for an office on wheels.

The Italian manufacturer recently announced an expansion of its natural gas vehicle range. The brand will be rolling out left-hand drive variations of the New Eurocargo. Natural gas offers up to 10 percent less in CO2 emissions, and also ensures a more comfortable and quiet drive for the occupants.
