Japanese automaker Isuzu’s recently unveiled D-Max V-Cross pickup truck which is the successor of the already running model, D-Max pickup truck, might be available for purchase from July 2016. The bookings have already started from INR 50,000 at the dealerships pan India. The ex-showroom price of this all new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pickup would be around 12.49 lakh (Chennai). The pickup has already received praises from market experts at the Auto Expo 2016 where it was displayed as a novelty.
Not only is the pickup capable of taking up a fight against the likes of Tata Xenon and Mahindra Imperio, but its latest design and interior comfort ensure that it competes with SUVs as well. Compyling to environment friendly BS-IV emission norms, it has 2.5 litre 4-Cylinder diesel motor which churns out 134 bhp power and 320 Nm torque.
The development of D-Max V-Cross’s chassis is a major highlight as it is made using Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform (iGRIP) technology, which ensures better stability, safety, and handling at high speed and on rough terrains. Supporting this feature are other contemporary technologies such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and dual front air bags.
To be assembled at the Isuzu’s recently opened facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, the truck would consist of 70 percent local parts to boost the economy. After generating a lot of sensation earlier this year, the pickup truck definitely has many eyes on it and the market is waiting eagerly to test the vehicle on the road.
