Huge Delegation of Isuzu Vendors Visits Sri City

A huge delegation of vendors of Isuzu Motors visited the company’s plant in Sri City, the planned integrated business township in Andhra Pradesh. The aim of the visit was to check out the company’s Rs. 3,000 crore production plant which is currently in the final stages of construction.
The 180 member delegation comprised of senior executives of various domestic and international companies which will be supplying the components to Isuzu Motors. The vendors also visited the industrial park in the business city that has an ecosystem for automobile sector and attended the vendor’s meet organized by the Japanese automaker.
Apart from Isuzu, the industrial park is witnessing an involvement of several OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) such as Kobelco Group, Hero Corp, NS Instruments, Nittan Valve, NHK Springs, Piolax, and Mitsubishi Metal One.
Ravindra Sannareddy, managing director of Sri City said that the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to develop an automobile hub in the region. Isuzu will be starting production at the manufacturing facility in April 2016 for which it will be sourcing components from 200 vendors. The company plans to achieve 70 percent localization initially and 100 percent localization in the following three years.
