Published On Jul 01, 2016
One of the well-known commercial vehicle manufacturers of India, Eicher has always believed in using intelligent technology for its trucks. Going with this belief, Eicher has recently updated Eicher Pro 1110 and Eicher Pro 1110 XP with Advance Fuel Combustion Engine Technology (AFC) and Hexadrive transmission. These new concepts in the vehicles not only offer best-in-class transmission, but also superior turnaround time, guaranteeing higher profitability in business. Apart from these unique features, Pro 1110 (priced from INR 11.3 lakh to 12.6 lakh, ex-showroom) and Pro 1110 XP (priced from INR 12.2 lakh to 14.4 lakh, ex-showroom) are loaded with a host of other characteristics. Let’s have a look at the similarities and differences between both.
Eicher Pro 1110 comes with an E483, 4 Cylinder, Turbocharger with intercooler engine and conforms to the BS-III emission norms. With a displacement of 3298 cc, the truck generates a max power of 110 bhp @ 2800 rpm and a torque of 330 Nm @ 1400-1600 rpm. A gradeability of 24% supports decent climbs, and a turning radius of 7400 mm with a wheelbase of 3800 mm improves vehicle road contact. The vehicle has a max speed of 88 km/hr.
Eicher Pro 1110 XP is the advanced version of Eicher Pro 1110. Though engine specifications of both the trucks are the same, Eicher Pro 1110 XP generates a higher power and torque (115 bhp @ 2800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1400-1600 rpm). This truck also has a better gradeability (26%) and a max speed of 92 km/hr. The higher speed and engine outputs lead to shorter trips and better turnaround time.
There is a huge difference between the carrying capacities of both the trucks too. Pro 1110 has a GVW of 11950 kg and supports a payload of 9030 kg, whereas Pro 1110 XP has a higher GVW of 12976 kg and can carry loads up to of 10056 kg.
Apart from these significant differences, other features mostly remain the same. Both the vehicles have driver information display, adjustable driver seat and tiltable steering. Safety wise, both Pro 1110 and 1110 XP are equipped with air brakes, parking brakes, power steering, fog lights and seat belts and the vehicles are governed by a strong suspension system. Adding the new technologies incorporated recently, these trucks are go-getters for fleet owners, bringing in good profitability in business.
