The start-up developed a fuel dispenser on a truck that tries to address customer demands of diesel by efficiently reaching the last-mile. The company selected Chennai as a pilot for this project before scaling-up across India over the next 18 months intending to deploy over 1000 smart trucks pan India by 2023.
GoFuel India a Fuel-Ent commences delivery of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) at the customer’s doorstep. Through this innovative concept, the start-up aims to address the increasing demand for fuel especially for static consumers such as generators, industries, agri-based businesses. The company wants to promise safe practices of fuel distribution by reducing pilferage due to supply chain constraints and increasing the contactless transactions & movement to digital-based purchase models as Covid-19 changes the world. Tata T.9 Ultra and Mahindra Furio 11 has been used to develop the fuel dispensers.
How does it work?
It is simple: To get door-step delivery of diesel you have to download the GoFuel mobile App, register yourself, place an order, pay though multiple payment gateways, track the order and get it deliver totally safe and as efficiently as possible.
GoFuel says the whole process of ordering diesel is easy and hassle-free. The transition is based on OTP for safety. The whole process is done digitally without any scope for customer inconvenience, with an online invoice of the transaction and all the detailed records of orders. The company offers you diesel at your preferred location, at any given time and desire quantity that saves the additional efforts of saving bulk diesel.
Embracing Tech
The GoFuel mobile app and technology solutions framework uses the latest available systems for better security of fuel during transport & supply. This technology ensures OTP-based supply upon customer order, thereby avoiding any pilferage. Such aspects will play a major role in saving a great amount of time, energy and, of course, fuel for customers. Besides there is a advantage of huge fuel saving to the end user due to zero-dead-mileage.
The zone-wise demand in Chennai was showcased - this is coming from bulk diesel consumers like industries, large apartment complexes, hospitals, malls, banks & warehouses. Over the near-term the company target to multiply the fleet and enable better connection with the remote & rural sectors in our country, where diesel is always in demand for agriculture, power generation and transport.
Vinodhraj, Founder & CEO, GoFuel said, “We are hopeful that this network will not just cater to diesel demand, but also open to other opportunities in the energy and gas Industry. In future, GoFuel aims to diversify to become one of our country’s and possibly the continent’s largest fuel distribution network.”
GoFuel has acquired an Expression of Interest (Investment) / Letter of Engagement, amounting to a seed funding of Rs. 100 Crores by a large investor from the Middle East, to deploy 1000 Smart Trucks pan India by 2023.
