Eicher Pro 3000 series medium-duty variants detailed

Eicher-the leader in the medium-duty truck segment in India has introduced the Pro 3000 series with the new powertrain in the 12-15T GVW range. Read the details on each variant.

VE Commercial Vehicles introduced the all-new BS6 truck with its EUTECH6 brand in early March in the light, medium, and heavy-duty applications. We have revealed the key specification, features, and aggregates in the new range, as VECV aims to modernise Indian trucking industry in more than one way, and the new range is a testimony of this commitment. 

The EUTECH6 trucks are more than just BS6 complaints as they are tuned to the precise needs of the customers taking into account extensive feedback and Indian operating duty cycles. Furthermore, the VECV product development and the engineering team has incorporated almost all the changing trends and evolving needs of the truck buyers. 

As a result, the EUTECH6 range is getting on Indian road; these are likely to exceed the customer exceptions after extensive use. We continue to monitor the progress of the trucks from the OEMs and customers' perspectives. 

Eicher retails its truck in primarily heavy-duty (HD) and light and medium-duty trucks (LMD). The HD range has massive haulage, tipper, and tractors categories, while the LMD ranges include sub 5T, light, medium & tipper categories. 

Pro 3000 series

The Pro3000 series covers the remarkable medium-duty range between 12-15T gross vehicle weight (GVW), in this segment Eicher brand has traditionally been strong. Eicher caters to the MDT segment with both the Pro 2000 (11-16T GVW ) and Pro 3000 series (12-15T GVW). 

The Pro 3000 series of trucks are proven and well-established in the MDT segment in India. These are 6-wheels, 2-axle trucks for 11.9, 14, 16T GVW categories in three models- Pro 3012, Pro 3014, Pro 3015. Let's look at each of these trucks in detail.

Pro 3012

Pro 3012 continues the traditions of Eicher's promise of performance and productivity in the BS6 avatar. This truck gets the modern E494 engine & 7-speed gearbox. for better performance, the powertrain is complemented with driver comfort, safety, and reliability to help the owner earn more profit each trip. 

The Pro 3012 is 11.9T GVW fitted with 160 HP power of 3.8-liter engine producing 500 Nm of torque, which is supported by the 7-speed efficient gearbox for a smoother driving experience. This truck is available in two wheelbases 4550 mm and 5550 mm, the cargo body length is 6101 mm and 7360 mm, the width 2125 mm and 2287 mm. 

Pro 3014

Pro 3014 shares the same powertrain of its sibling 3012, yet, targeted at different customer profiles with slightly higher payload with rated GVW of 14T.  

However, Eicher is offering this truck in multiple wheelbases on Pro 3014 to appeal to a larger customer base and cover every application possible. The two wheelbases are 4450 mm, 4500 mm, 5550 mm, 5550 mm, 5805 mm, 6101 mm, 6777 m, and 7360 mm—the width of 2125 mm and 2287 mm. 

Pro 3015

The Pro 3015 is a 16T GVW fitted the same powertrain of other trucks from the series. This truck is available in two wheelbases 4490 mm and 5490 mm with the cargo body lengths of 5811 mm, 6112 mm, 6782 mm, 7364 mm, and standard width of 2287 mm. 

All the variants of Pro 3000 series come with hydraulic assisted power steering for effortless driving, 7-speed gearbox tuned to the need of the precise truck variant and need, sleeper cabin, and ground clearance of 220 (Pro3012 and pro3014 ), and 258 (Pro 3015). 

Like the rest of the trucks, in MDT range Eicher promises the best mileage with a modern engine, driver comfort with roomy cabin for higher productivity. The safety is taken care by a dual-panel cabin along with the heavy-duty bumper, anti-roll bar, more durable and robust chassis, etc. Another vital aspect is the connectivity with 24x7 assistance and an app to monitor the critical elements of trucks.

Some of the key technology features the Pro 3000 series offer includes fuel coaching, which guides drivers to select right gears for higher fuel efficiency. MBooster+ allows drivers to switch different modes depending upon the road and cargo conditions. Cruise Control helps in maintaining speed for fatigue-free driving along with superior mileage.  

The MDT range of trucks comes under the ICV segment, which is suitable for various applications, including courier and logistics, food grains, fruits and vegetables, beverages, cement, fish FMCG and Industrial goods, etc.
