The Pro 2000 light and medium-duty series first launched way back in mid-2019 come with BS6 powertrain combines superior mileage, durability and performance. In 17 different variants encompassing 4.9-16T GVW, it is targeted at all kinds of cargo needs.
Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has unveiled the BS6 range of trucks and buses across 4.9-55T GVW with innovative BS6 technology- EUTECH6 in early March. The new platform combines VECV’s Euro6 expertise with the most reliable engine technology & fuel-efficient drivetrain.
Eicher has modernized its truck portfolio with the introduction of contemporary Pro Series. The Pro Series range of multi-application, next-gen heavy, light & medium-duty trucks in 4.9 to 55T GVW trucks comprises haulage, tippers and tractor-trailers. The trucks are designed to deliver superior performance, durability and profit to customers.
While VECV’s BS6 range was unveiled in March 2020, the company demonstrated its BS6 readiness quite early with the launch of the Pro 2000 series in the middle of 2019 far ahead of the actual BS6 deadline. The Pro 2000 series design and developed keeping in mind the company’s USP of superior mileage, performance, safety and durability. Eicher also assuring higher uptime with the new trucks with 24x7 support by specialists at Eicher Uptime Centre, GPS engaged service vans available on call and remote diagnostics for quick repair of BS6 vehicles.

Pro 2000 BS6 Series
The Pro 2000 series now comes with 17 strong product variants at different tonnage points. Eicher has always been the most recognizable brand in the LMD range in India with a wide range of trucks at every tonnage and application needs.
The Pro 2000 series start from 4.9T GVW to 16T GVW with a variant available for every tonnage, with engine power ranging between 100 HP to 160 HP with cargo load bodies options. The Pro 2049, the sub 5T truck is the smallest tonnage offering in the Pro 2000 series by Eicher. This compact truck is among the most suitable last-mile delivery truck for any kind of cargo transportation including white goods, industrial products, poultry, FMCG, parcel, courier, fruit& vegetables, etc.
Eicher is offering fuel coaching, cruise control, multiple drive modes, and touchscreen infotainment systems with steering mounted controls, grease-free suspension, etc as standards across the 2000 series.
The 2049 variant is the sub 5T compact truck that comes with impressive service intervals, higher vehicle lifetime profitability and better safety and comfort features.
The Pro 2050, Pro 2055, Pro 2055K, Pro 2059, Pro 2059 CNG, Pro 2059XP between 5-7T GVW range targeted at various applications and cargo needs. These trucks are suitable for all kinds of terrain and demanding operating conditions.
This series further expanded into Pro 2075, Pro 2080XP in the 8-9T GVW, followed by Pro 2090, Pro 2095, Pro 2095XP and Pro 2095XP CNG in the 11T and above GVW and lastly the Pro 2110, Pro 2110 XP, Pro 2110 XP plus and 2114XP up to 16T GVW.
Engine family
Eicher has a strong in-house engine family powering its complete truck range across 4.9T to 55T trucks. The firm has developed new BS6 engines with a strong 7 engine portfolio inclusive of 5 diesel and 2 CNG ranging between 2-10 liters with power from 100 to 350HP. Eicher is promising higher torque of 13-30% in the BS6 engines as compare to BS4 engines for the highest productivity of the trucks.
The Pro 2000 series gets 4 engines, the E336, E474 and E494 in diesel and E484 in CNG. All the engines are tuned as per the payload, applications and operating cycle of the individual truck.
