COVID-19: Tata Motors offer support to truck drivers, extends AMC and warranty services

The company along with India Oil is ensuring truck drivers across the country being provided with necessary help. Also, it extended service and warranty support to larger customers.
Market leader Tata Motors is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the trucking community is safe and secure. The company ropes in oil major Indian Oil to help the truck drivers, the most vulnerable but equally important element of the transport industry.
The company has made available its ‘Saarthi Aaram Kendra’ for drivers all-day long to provide free food, masks and sanitizers.
The Saarathi Aaram Kendra is a unique initiative by Tata Motors primarily aimed towards improving the working conditions of commercial vehicle drivers while promoting a better quality of life and taking necessary steps to enhance their mental and physical wellbeing. The first Saarthi Aaram Kendra was opened in May 2019, at an Indian Oil facility in Haryana.
The Saarthi Aaram Kendra initiative is a part of a larger driver welfare program that Tata Motors runs and also includes the ‘Tata Motors Samarth’ initiative, which covers areas like accidental insurance, hospitalization cover, financial counseling and educational assistance packages for their children, for the wellbeing of the saarthis and their families.
Tata Motors has so far opened five such facilities across India, and there is a strategic plan to set-up more such facilities along major National Highways to serve the needs of more drivers in the future.
Extended Service Support
Also, safeguarding its larger customer family and demonstrating its commitment, Tata Motors has extended its Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and warranty services for over a month.
-The company has announced a one-month extension on its Suraksha AMC for all the customers with expiry between 15th March to 15th April 2020.

-One-month extension for customers avails the AMC service previously schedule between 15-March to 15-April 2020.
-Two-month extension for free services previously scheduled between 15-March to 15-April 2020
-Tata Alert Support on 1800 20 97979 for trucks carrying essential commodities specified by the government.
