Countrystyle Brings in Mercedes-Benz Arocs for its "Clean, Green" Drive

New Mercedes-Benz Arocs trucks have been added to the “Clean, Green" drive organized by the resource management and waste recycling specialist, Countrystyle. The new trucks have been added to a fleet, which has grown three times in size within a three year span. The company now operates around 150 vehicles and has gained three pointed stars in last 18 months.
The 32-tonne eight wheeler Mercedes Benz Arocs range has been designed specifically for construction related applications. These include six 3242K models with compactor bodies by Inco-Mol and one 3243K model with Hyvahook loading equipment.
Dealership firm Sparshatts will be examining these new additions, which will be lined-up along with the tractor units (all 6×2 Actros models, with the exceptions of a handful of double-drive Arocs versions), the 8x4 Arcos model refuse vehicles and hook loaders.
Jamie Houston, the Commercial Director at Mercedes-Benz trucks, said, “Continued business growth means we needed more dustcarts for our trade waste rounds, and another hook-loader able to handle Ro-Ro bins with capacities of up to 40 cubic yards.”
“Mercedes-Benz has accounted for approximately 90% of our fleet purchases over the last 18 months, as we’ve sought not only to extend the fleet but also to reduce our carbon footprint by replacing older vehicles,” he said.
Houston further added, “The Arocs and Actros are both high-quality, fit-for-purpose trucks that have proved exceptionally reliable and represent excellent value for money. Our drivers speak very highly of them too, while we receive a first class service from Sparshatts.”
