Australia's leading wholesale food service and distributor, Bidvest, has renewed its contract with Hino Motors for the third consecutive year. Bidvest currently operates more than 400 trucks across all states of Australia. As per the new contract, Bidvest will add another 40 Hino trucks with different model ranges including 300, 500 and 700 Series. The new addition also includes brand new 500 Series FE 1426 models and 300 Series Hybrid trucks. The Hino 500 Series truck is powered by a J07E power plant that churns out 260Hp of maximum power and 794Nm of peak torque. The 300 Series Hybrid comes with a N04C diesel motor that complies with Euro 5 emission norms. Compared to a conventional diesel truck, its tailpipe emission and fuel consumption is significantly lower.
Harris Tran, category manager for services at Bidvest has said that Hino trucks are best suited for business owed to their high quality, innovation and fuss-free services offered by Hino. He added, “Our drivers spend a good proportion of their lives in these trucks, so we need to supply them with something comfortable. Hino trucks have very comfortable seats and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as comprehensive safety equipment to help meet OHS requirements. We also invest in two-pedal transmissions on all vehicles up to eight pallets; they're easy to drive and remove the need for specially trained drivers for manual transmissions."
