BharatBenz offers free vehicle check and sanitization for all customers

In a drive to help customers to get their trucks back to business, BharatBenz in a proactive step recalling its customers for a free vehicle health check and sanitization in order to ensure the truck runs fine after two months of idling due to lockdown.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the maker of BharatBenz trucks today announced a free vehicle health check-up and sanitization campaign for its BharatBenz Trucks and Buses.
All BharatBenz owners can have their vehicles checked according to a 37-point standard checklist. This will help determine the condition of the truck or bus in the wake of the nationwide lockdown which resulted in many vehicles lying idle for long periods of time.
To further put customers’ minds at ease, all BharatBenz vehicles coming into workshops for servicing will be sanitized free of cost. For trucks, the cabins will be sanitized, while the whole interior will be sanitized for buses. The campaign is available once per vehicle and runs from May 26 to June 10, 2020 in Karnataka and Kerala. An extension to the rest of India is planned from June 1 to June 16, 2020 subject to the lockdown restrictions.
Speaking on the company’s new initiative, Rajaram Krishnamurthy, Vice President Marketing & Sales and Customer Service, DICV said, “BharatBenz has always been at the forefront when it comes to supporting customers, especially in times when they require it the most. We were one of the first to extend the service and warranty repairs period during this crisis and now we support them with free vehicle checks and sanitization. We will also provide training for drivers to help them safeguard themselves against infection.”
During the lockdown period, BharatBenz ensured that over 650 trucks carrying perishable goods received the fastest possible service from dealer partners across the country. In addition to providing health and hygiene training to drivers, DICV is also conducting online training for retail and wholesale staff on BS6, parts management and the BharatBenz Proserv customer service app.
This will ensure they are ready to provide the best advice and service once local restrictions ease and customers return to their dealerships.
