BharatBenz introduces BS-IV Truck Range in New Delhi

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has launched the BS-IV compatible heavy duty trucks in the capital. The new truck range complies with the latest standards equipped with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology. And the good news is that the company has launched the new models at similar price range of its BS-III models which it was selling before the ban came into effect.

The range of trucks come into the three product categories viz. construction trucks, haulage trucks and tractors, all promises to deliver best in class performance with better fuel economy and low maintenance costs.

Daimler seems to be on the forefront with regard to the latest BS-IV standards. Company in a statement said,”The BharatBenz product range of trucks above 9 to 49 tonnes has been available as BS-IV variants since August 2015. Even before the transition to the BS-IV standard on 1st April 2017, more than 1,000 BharatBenz BS-IV trucks had been delivered to customers and clocked up more than 42,00,000 kilometres".

Rajaram Krishnamurthy, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) said that the key focus of the company will be on Delhi and NCR region with the aim to add more customers to the family by giving ‘profit technology’ package that includes productivity, safety and efficiency with latest BS-IV standards.

Besides with the latest technology on board, these BS-IV trucks are also compatible with BS-III fuel. Daimler India has tested SCR technology in Indian operating environment for over 1 million kms before officially launching the vehicles in 2015.
