BharatBenz 1214 or Tata LPT 1109 EX? Take Your Pick!

It’s quite easy to get confused between BharatBenz 1214 and Tata LPT 1109 EX owing to the similarity in looks and features of both the trucks. The ex-showroom prices of both the trucks are also similar. BharatBenz 1214 is priced between INR 12.6 lakh and 13.4 lakh whereas Tata LPT 1109 EX is priced between INR 12 lakh and 12.8 lakh. Both the vehicles fall in the I&MCV (Intermediate and Medium Commercial Vehicles) category and command their own set of loyal customers. LPT 1109 EX is Tata’s rugged work-horse, specifically designed for cement transport, bricks and a variety of other applications. BharatBenz 1214 is specially targeted to meet the ever increasing transportation demands of the cargo segment.
Both BharatBenz 1214 and Tata LPT 1109 EX are equipped with four engine cylinders and conform to BS-III emission norms. However, the icing on the cake is LPT 1109 EX’s higher payload capacity of 8120 kgs over BharatBenz 1214’s 7690 kgs.
On the other hand, BharatBenz 1214 comes with several features for driver comfort and safety such as power steering, fog lights, tiltable steering, and adjustable driver seat, thus promising a greater driving experience than LPT 1109 EX.
Thus, we can safely say that the vehicle dimensions of Tata LPT 1109 EX make the truck ideal for a more challenging terrain while BharatBenz 1214 is best suited for longer trips.
