Bajaj Auto posts a strong auto-rickshaw sales in November 2022

Domestic sales doubled while export declined
Bajaj Auto, the leader in India’s three-wheeler vehicle segment registered a strong sale of its auto-rickshaw range in November. In the absence of reliable public transport, auto-rickshaw often fill the huge gap emerging as a strong alternative for the last-mile mobility needs across cities, towns, and villages. Affordable to buy and operate, these vehicles are easy to navigate, and continue to find new buyers, thus creating a sustained demand for three-wheeler brands.
Bajaj Auto sold a total of 44,432 auto-rickshaws in the month, including 29,226 units in the domestic market, up 112% as compared to the same period last year. The exports of 15,206 units were down by 44%.

The cumulative sale for the first eight months of FY '23, Bajaj Auto stands at 3,16,233, up marginally by 2%. This comprises 1,77,671 units in the domestic market, up 93%, and exports of 1,38,562 units, which declined by 36%.
