Auto Expo 2020: Tata Motors BS6 truck range revealed!

The market leader focus on CESS – connected, electric, shared and safe, as the future of mobility, showcases its 12 BS6 trucks in various tonnage and segment the AutoExpo 2020. The global unveils of all new Prima 5530.S and Winger is the major commercial vehicle highlights for the company.

The company made a splash at the 15th AutoExpo 2020 revealing an all-new range of passenger, electric and commercial vehicles with a focus on Connected, Electric, Shared and Safe.
Gets BS6 Ready
As the BS6 emission deadline is just less than 60 days ahead, Tata Motors, the market leader is now fully prepared with its entire range of BS6 commercial vehicles. Auto Expo 2020 is the most suitable platform for the company to display its range of BS6 trucks, both for the customers and the industry.
The company unveiled the all-new Winger aims at setting new standards in the commercial passenger segment in terms of style, safety, comfort and space. The new Winger is an all-rounder with superior aesthetics, better economics and comfortable ergonomics, making it an absolute winner in its category. Another major step for the company is uncovering the premium and modern the New Tata Prima 5530.S Facelift – the epitome of engineering and the flagship of Tata Motors’ extensive commercial vehicle line-up. It comes with a power-packed drivetrain of ISBe 6.7L, 300HP, BS6 engine and G1150 gearbox, known for its robust durability and reliability. It is designed specifically to deliver high performance, unmatched fuel efficiency and better TCO. The all-new Prima 5530.S is ideal for applications including cement gab, steel coil, industrial goods, white goods, FMCG and containers.
The company displayed 14 all-new BS6 range of products across segments covering sub 1 ton to 55 ton GVW, with 140+ type approvals and 19 engines (including alternate fuels options), thus providing a vast array of product offerings to its customers. We take a look at some of the key products at the Auto Expo 2020.
Ace Gold Petrol
The other notable products the company displayed including its most popular, the Ace Gold Petrol. Taking its innovative approach in the small commercial vehicles segment and constant endeavor with taking forward the legacy of providing pioneering and innovative products to its discerning customers, Tata Motors now launches the Petrol variant of Tata Ace Gold with BS6 technology. Tata Ace Gold with the new petrol power train offers a superior value proposition to its customers helping them to earn more.
The Ace Gold petrol comes with a superior engine that delivers 22 Kw (30HP) power and 55Nm torque, with a payload of 750 Kg, and gets gear shift advisor and Eco Switch for high fuel efficiency along with digital display cluster. Besides features such as large lockable glove box, USB charger etc.
Like it earlier variants, the Ace Gold petrol is suitable for application such as distribution of fruits & vegetables, furniture, consumer products, bottled water, gas cylinders, FMCG, milk & dairy products, cold drinks, textiles, bakery, pharma, tent house & catering, plastics, scrap, waste management applications.
Intra V30
Taking a step further by expanding its new Intra range of mini-trucks, Tata Motors has revealed the IntraV30 to further enhance customer experience with its next levels of performance, drivability and convenience.
The Intra V30 comes with power of 52 kW, 70HP with 1.5L DI engine, wide walk through cabin with contemporary fresh looks, best-in-class 8.8 feet long load body suitable for various applications, superior driving comfort and ergonomics ensuring a smooth longer journey, low turnaround time leading to more trips through enhanced acceleration and pickup, The Eco switch, a feature which helps to switch the vehicle between normal and eco mode based on the duty cycle & gear shift advisor which guides the driver to select the correct gear, ensure High fuel economy.
Tata Yodha
The new Tata Yodha is powered 2.2-litre Di, a four-cylinder diesel engine delivering 73.6 kW (100 HP) power and 250 Nm of torque, which is the best in its class. Tata Yodha, renowned for its muscular, strong and bold design is available in single cab & crew cab variants & also with 4x2 & 4x4 drive options.
Tata Yodha single cab variants come with 3 distinct payload points of 1700, 1500 and 1200 kg. The high ground clearance of 210 mm enables Tata Yodha to navigate through varied terrains with ease. The large cargo box of dimensions – L-2650 mm (8.7 ft) x W-1850 mm (6 ft) ensures Tata Yodha to carry large & heavy loads with ease.
Tata Motors promises a warranty of 3 years/3 lakh kilometers and minimal maintenance costs, customers are certain to earn high profits and have complete peace of mind. The Yodha is a vehicle for a wide range of applications including milk, Agri produce-food grains, fruits & vegetables, poultry, fisheries, parcel/courier, containers, catering/food Indus, E-commerce, FMCG, medicine, beverage distributors, LPG cylinders, cash van, construction/site support.
Tata Signa 4830.T
The Tata Signa 4830.T BS6 is a proven platform with 47.5T GVW from the Tata Motors product portfolio. This new massive truck is powered by Cummins 6.7-litre engine with 296 HP with 1100 Nm torque, promising TCO Improvement for the customer due to higher payload and better fuel economy. The Signa cabin with AC and sleeper berth is well accepted for long haulage applications. The vehicle has a 12.5T lift axle equipped with a Smart Lift mechanism to enhance tyre life. A customer can deploy this truck in applications such as haulage application for cement (bag and bulker), steel, industrial goods, food grains, containers, FMCG and others.
Tata Ultra T.16 Sleeper AMT Truck
Tata Ultra T.16S BS6, a first 10-ton capacity commercial vehicle with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) from the house of Tata Motors. Designed to address a highly growing 10-ton payload segment by customers and packaged to deliver a superior experience of high reliability with best-in-class features.
Developed for the Indian roads, redefining the transportation industry, leveraging enhanced technologies and blending ideally both technology and economy of operations. The Ultra T.16 sleeper truck addresses the agile goods movement across all business applications. A truck with a new-generation futuristic cabin, designed thoughtfully with a walkthrough feature, adding up with roomy interiors and 1+2 seating. This truck is developed to delight both the fleet owners as also the driving fraternity.
Tata Ultra T.7 Electric Truck
Another highlight of the Tata trucks at the Auto Expo is the company’s preparedness for new powertrain solutions. The company displayed its all-electric Ultra T.7 intermediate commercial vehicle.
The Ultra T.7 is developed for Indian roads, redefining the transportation industry leveraging enhanced technologies, blending ideally both technology and economy of operations. The Ultra T.7 Electric would best fit the city transportation needs as the truck is designed to address the agile goods movement across all business applications.
The cabin is designed thoughtfully with a walk-through feature, adding up with roomy interiors and 1+2 seating. It is developed to delight both the fleet owners as also the general driving fraternity. Ultra T.7 Electric is a tough, modern and stylish city truck which is also India’s first-ever intermediate commercial electric truck, created to transform and redefine the goods transportation of Urban India.
Tata Motors also displayed its engine range including 6.7L BS6 Cummins engine, 3.3L BS-6 engine, 5L BS-6 engine and G750 AMT gearbox.
