Ashok Leyland launches ecomet STAR CNG range of trucks

Betting big on the alternative fuel trucks, the company has introduced an ecomet STAR range of CNG trucks in 14T and 16T GVW categories.

To address the growing number of customers looking for an alternative to diesel-powered trucks, Ashok Leyland has introduced multiple CNG trucks in its famous ecomet STAR range. Filling the gaps in its portfolio, the new CNG trucks range comprise the ecomet STAR 16.1T and 14.250T GVW, respectively, with three-cylinder options of 360/480 and 570 litres. 

As fuel prices continue to soar, more and more fleet operators and individual truck buyers are trying CNG trucks to reduce the operating cost. The sudden spike in CNG truck demand in recent months will help Ashok Leyland to gain market share in this growing segment of trucks with the launch of two new ICV trucks in the market. 

According to Ashok Leyland, the new CNG range is greener and offers safer, fuel-efficient and best-in-class total cost of ownership (TCO) to those customers who want to try out non-diesel powered trucks.

The ecomet STAR CNG trucks are equipped with an advanced digital driver-assist dashboard to help with a greater truck user experience, the truck also gets a powerful round headlamp to increase safety during night operations. Besides the superior mileage, better tyre life, longer service intervals and overall lower maintenance cost enhance higher turnaround time (TAT) for the fleet owner thus helping him with a far better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

The ecomet STAR CNG truck range get the promise of 4 hrs response and 48 hrs restoration with a warranty of 4 years /lacs Km hr for the vehicles. Taking into account the high uptime requirement for these vehicles, it will be supported with ‘Quick accident repair’ and an exclusive bay at the Ashok Leyland workshops.
