Ashok Leyland Declares Sales Growth of 30% for January 2016

Ashok Leyland has announced a sales growth of 30 percent for the month of January 2016 by selling 13,886 units over 10,643 units in January 2015. Steady growth in M&HCV sales helped the firm to sell 11,208 units which is up by 40 percent over January 2015 with 8009 unit sales. Displaying the same pace, the LCVs of the company too recorded a consistent growth of 2 percent with 2,678 units sold in January this year over 2,634 units sold in the same month last year.
Overall sales of Ashok Leyland marked a hike of 36 percent by selling 110,349 units in the current year as against 81,386 units dispatched in 2014-2015 fiscal year. M&HCV sales marked a growth of 44 percent with 85,721 units sold in this year against 59,403 units sold in April–January 2015. LCVs too followed the lead and displayed a 12 percent hike with 24,628 units against 21,983 units sold in April-January 2015.
The company is still going well with numbers. Recently the commercial vehicle manufacturer grabbed a deal for supplying 3600 vehicles from Cote D'Ivoire” which are to be delivered in coming twelve months. The company also accepted an order for 680 vehicles and spare parts from Zimbabwe.
